Small Precision Motor Solutions
Since it was established as Philips Mechatronics in Dordrecht,
The Netherlands, in the 1960s, Premotec has been supplying small
precision DC brush and brushless motors to commercial and industrial
OEMs in a range of industries. In October, 1997, Premotec became
an independent company under the name Precision Motor Technology
B.V. In mid-2004, Premotec joined the Allied Motion group of motion
control companies.
Premotec specializes in the design and manufacture of small custom-engineered
motors using proprietary motor technologies. In fact, Premotec
is one of the few motor manufacturers in the world producing motors
using four distinct motor technologies: Brushless DC, Coreless
DC, Iron Core DC, and Permanent Magnet Stepper and Synchronous.
In addition, Premotec offers a full range of reduction gearboxes
tailored for their motors.
Premotec products are in use around the globe in a wide variety
of industrial, professional and medical applications, including
dialysis equipment, cash dispensers, document handling equipment,
fuel injection systems, high-density digital tape drives, bar code
readers, laser scanning equipment, industrial ink jet printers,
waste water treatment, pharmaceutical dosing systems, textile machinery,
studio and security cameras, and optical disc drives.
